LEFLEYS GARAGE SALE MEETS WITH GOOD DEMAND

British Leyland and Rover enthusiasts from across the Country descended on Holbeach on Saturday 26th November 2011 for the auction of the remaining contents of Belle Vue Garage a former Morris BMC, British Leyland and Rover Franchise which has been operating in Holbeach since 1939 and on the present site since 1969.

The Car Parking areas were littered with Rovers, Maestros and Montegos as Classic Car owners local mechanics and farmers bid for the wide variety of equipment and parts on offer.  Interest in the sale came from as far as County Carlow Southern Ireland, Sunderland and Kent and bidding was brisk for almost all the items on offer. Tydd St Mary Land Auction Sale 26th May 2011

Following considerable interest in the Land during the days leading up to the auction sale a sizeable crowd of farmers and investors some of whom had travelled a considerable distance attended the sale.  Enthusiastic bidding resulted in exceptional prices being achieved for all lots which were as follows:-

Sale of Tractors, Combine Harvester and Farming Machinery at Holding No. 158, Guys Head Farm, SUTTON BRIDGE, Lincolnshire on Saturday 14th May 2011

A large crowd attended the sale at Sutton Bridge which was conducted by Hix and Son on behalf of Messrs A W and C Rogers and in spite of the very dry, dusty and windy conditions many keen bidders were present for the exceptionally well cared for farming machinery on offer.

The main prices realized were: 2000 New Holland TS115 Tractor £17,500; 1993 Ford 7740 4WD Tractor £13,500; 1986 Ford 6610 2WD Tractor £6,000; 1980 Ford 4600 2WD Tractor £5,000; 1956 Fordson Major Diesel Tractor £2,900; 1979 New Holland Clayson 1540 Combine Harvester £5,400.
